Every lot comes from a German public platform or auction house. Bidorado brings them together, with no middleman.
The platform of the federal state, Länder, municipalities and customs: service vehicles, IT equipment, seized goods.
Court sales: goods seized by bailiffs and courts, often with shipping.
The federal company selling government and army equipment, often by sealed tender.
Auction houses and liquidators: machinery, stock, art and furniture, with buyer's premium.

Guides: buying at auction in Germany
All guides →Bidding at German auctions from abroad
In Germany, auctions are not centralised. Authorities sell on Zoll-Auktion, the justice system on Justiz-Auktion, the federal government via VEBEG, and hundreds of licensed auctioneers and insolvency administrators publish their catalogues on their own websites. The result: thousands of lots close every week with very few bidders, often none at all.
Bidorado brings all these German auctions together on one site, in English. Every listing is translated, sorted by category (vehicles, professional equipment, IT, stock lots, art) and enriched with an all-in price: buyer's premium, German VAT and shipping to your country.
- Customs and government sales: official vehicles, IT equipment, seized goods.
- Judicial sales: assets seized by bailiffs and courts.
- Liquidations and insolvencies: machinery, tools, stock.
- Licensed auctioneers: furniture, art, jewellery, watches.
You then bid directly on the seller's official website, under the same conditions as German buyers. Bidorado is free, takes no commission and sells nothing itself.
Frequently asked questions about German auctions
What is the best German auction site?
There is no single site: German auctions are spread across customs (Zoll-Auktion), the courts (Justiz-Auktion), the federal government (VEBEG) and hundreds of auction houses and liquidators, each on its own platform. Bidorado brings them together for free in one search engine in English, with the all-in price, and links to the official site to bid.
Can I buy at auctions in Germany from abroad?
Yes. German auctions are open to buyers from across the European Union. You just need to create an account on the seller's website. Some lots are reserved for businesses: Bidorado flags them.
What fees are added to the bid price?
At private auction houses, a buyer's premium of 15 to 20% applies, plus German VAT at 19% where applicable. Customs and justice sales have no buyer's premium. Bidorado shows the all-in price on every lot.
Are lots shipped abroad?
It depends on the seller. Some lots ship across Europe, others only within Germany, and some must be collected on site. Bidorado's "Shippable to me" filter only shows lots shipped to your country.
Why do so many lots get no bids?
Because sales are scattered across dozens of little-known German-language sites. Many lots close without a single bidder. Bidorado's Radar spots them before the deadline.
Is Bidorado free?
Yes. Search, alerts and access to lots are free. Bidorado takes no commission: you only pay the seller, under their terms.
