About

Founded in 1970 in Giessen as Giessener Münzhandlung, Gorny & Mosch has been based at Maximiliansplatz in Munich since 1978. It offers ancient coins alongside art from Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquity, as well as prehistoric, early historical, Near Eastern, Byzantine, Islamic, pre-Columbian, African and Asian objects. Its gallery “Kunst der Antike”, added in 2002, presents such works. In 2020 the house marked fifty years of activity in the coin and art trade and in auctioneering.
