Description
"Portrait of a man with a medal of the Cologne Archbishop Ferdinand of Bavaria", oil on wood, 66.5 × 52.5 cm. The identity of the sitter has not yet been established. The portrait medal worn on a chain with the inscription "FERDINAND D[ei] G[ratia] ELEC[tor] COLON[iensis] BA[variae] D[ux]" nevertheless points to a connection with the court or the immediate circle of the Cologne Archbishop and Elector Ferdinand (1577-1650)
