Laubholz, vollplastisch geschnitzt, farbig gefasst. Auf einem späteren Sockel montiert. Verso auf dem Sockel mit der Sammlungsnr. "47" in Pinsel sowie dem Brandstempel "Eigentum des Stadtmuseums Meissen". Provenienz: Privatsammlung Dresden; Auktionshaus Günther, A Private Collection of Sculptures, 24.10.15, KatNr. 29; 1961–1991 Albrechtsburg Meissen, InvNr. 707/Ho 47 (ständige Ausstellung); 1945 Stadtmuseum Meissen, InvNr. Ho 148; Sammlung Otto Horn, Meißen, erworben im Raum um ... Kloster Marienstern. Vorliegende Skulptur zeigt die Muttergottes, den Jesusknaben im Arm haltend. Dieser hielt einst einen Kreuzstab in der Hand, mit dem er die Paradiesschlange zu Füßen Mariens tötete und somit das Böse besiegte. Diese Darstellung der Maria vom Siege oder Maria de Victori entstand in der Zeit der Gegenreformation und war bis in das späte 18. Jh. beliebt.
