Studied at the Royal School of Applied Arts in Munich under Josef Eberz, in Berlin and in Paris under Roger Bissière and Gino Severini at the Académie Ranson; settled in Kleve in the Haus Koekkoek; in 1936 he founded with Walther Brüx the "Künstlergilde Profil" and the "Niederrheinischer Künstlerbund". Crucifixion 1954-I, reverse glass painting; H 40.5 cm, W 20.5 cm; signed and dated lower left "H Lamers 54"; verso label with title.
