Les Huzules Intimes. 3 signed coloured original drawings from the series. Around 1917. Sheet dimensions: approx. 17.5 x 14 cm to approx. 20.5 x 17 cm. All mounted under large passe-partouts (65 x 50 cm). Georges Kars (Jiri Karpeles; 1880 Kralupy - 1945 Geneva) probably came into contact with the Hutsul mountain people in the Carpathians during his stationing on the Eastern Front in 1916-17. - Sheets slightly browned, passe-partouts slightly stained.
