Sheet dimensions: 24.8 x 19.5 cm and 25 x 20.4 cm. The English fashion, portrait and reportage photographer Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton (1904-1980) was sent to India by the British Ministry of Information at the end of the Second World War.

Der englische Mode-, Porträt- und Reportagephotograph Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton (1904-1980) wurde am Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs vom britischen Ministry of Information nach Indien und China entsandt. Von den rund 7.000 entstandenen Aufnahmen wurde nur ein Bruchteil veröffentlicht.
