The balloon observer badge was a late proficiency badge of the German Wehrmacht in World War II. It was established on 15 July 1944 to honour the dangerous deployment of observers in captive balloons at the front. Original condition, little wear, probably collector's manufacture. Das Ballonbeobachterabzeichen war ein spätes Leistungsabzeichen der deutschen Wehrmacht im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Es wurde am 15.
